1. What is new/different for 2022?
NOTHING! Unlike 2021, where we had a "light" version of the race without our vendors at the end, this year will be business as usual! Even if you do not participate in the race, please join us at the finish line for fun, fitness, and fellowship.
2. How do I know when the race is Full?
When the race reaches the 1250 person quota - FULL will posted on Home Page of this site. Remember no sign-ups on race day. Paper registration will be extremely limited starting at 1pm on Wednesday before the race.
3. When does online registration stop?
When the 1250 person quota is filled or on Friday the week before the race.
4. How soon can I register to enter and who do I contact if I have problems registering?

5. What is the cost?
$35 per entry
6. How can I confirm my participation?
Just go to RunSignup.com, then Lake Burton Fun Run, then Participant Center, then Confirm My Registration
7. How many runners can enter this year's race?
The race is limited to the first 1250 runners.and will close when this number is reached.
8. What are the age categories, awards, and drawings?
Awards: Overall male/female winner, Masters male/female winner, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group awards - under 10 thru 70 + in 5 year age increments:
(Ages 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-99)
There is also The Community Spirit Award, The 5 Star Performance Award, and The Robert Nichols Leadership Award
Prize drawings also take place at the end of the ceremony. (Must be present to win prize drawings)
9. How soon can I pick up my race bib?
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before the race from 1pm until 6 pm at LaPrade's Marina Fun Run table. We strongly suggest that you pick up your bib early.
10. What time do I need to be at the State Park?
If you have your race bib, be at the State Park at 8:30 am. If you need to pick up your bib, be at the State Park by 8 am for the 9 am start
11. When do the shuttles leave and return
Shuttles will run to the start of the race from 7:00 am until 8:15 am and return participants after the race.
Note:You need a race bib to ride the shuttle!
12. Can I wear my headphones during the race?
No. The use of headphones are prohibited because of safety reasons as mandated by the Road Runners Club of America
13. Can I run with my dog or pet on a leash?
While we love all our furry friends, the RRCA rules do not allow pets on the course during the race. They are more than welcome to hang out at the finish line.
14. Can I run or walk on the course without a race bib?
No. RRCA rules require everyone to have a race bib (which also means a signed waiver) before the race.
15. Can I swap, switch, or use someone else's race bib?
No. This is not allowed. You can be banned from the race.
16. Can somebody else pick up my race bib and can I pick up someone else's race bib?
Yes, someone else can pick up your race bib. You will need their full name and address to verify.
17. Can I pay with credit card?
Only online. For the limited registration the day before the race, cash or checks are accepted.
18. Can I register over the phone?
Yes, on a smart phone with internet capability. We recommend you register online. There will be very limited paper forms on race week.
19. Can I run with a Baby Stroller/ Baby Jogger?
Yes, with conditions. For safety reasons (concerning both your child and the participants around you), baby strollers/ baby joggers are only allowed in the very BACK section of the Line Up..
20. Are bicycles allowed on the race course?
No, this would be dangerous for runners and walkers.
21. Where can I park?
Participants need to be dropped off at the state park no later than 8:30 AM. Vehicles need to be parked at LaPrades Marina. Firemen will assist you in parking.
22. When is the last shuttle?
Last shuttle leaves LaPrade's Marina for the park at 8:30 AM SHARP!
23. What if the weather is bad or it rains?
The race will still be held rain or shine. However, the threat of lightning or other severe weather in the vicinity of the event may result in a delay or rescheduling (to be determined by LBFR Board.)
24. Who gets a t-shirt and how?
Only entrants that turn in their race bib on race day will receive shirts. In 2022, we will be pre-ordering all shirts based on a historical average with overruns, so every participant should be able to take home a shirt on race day.
25. Where can I find this year's and past year's results?
Click on the Race Results tab and scroll to the bottom of the page of the fun run website. Race results are archived from 2003 through 2019 Click here for past years results, then from the home page go to race results and scroll down to archives for the year you want.
