*** Stan will be running in Ethiopia the first two weeks of June in the Global Friendship Run.
If you have participated before, then you know the scenic course along Lake Burton and the excellent facilities at the starting line and finish line. This is a great family event for all ages and yet, has a challenge for the more serious runners. If you are new to the course, we know you will have a fun experience. We welcome everyone.Come and run, walk, watch and get inspired. Enjoy sightseeing and shopping with a Scenic Highway 197 brochure. You might want to explore Lake Burton by car or by boat or visit many of the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area.
Proceeds from the fun run and regatta are distributed between the Lake Burton Volunteer Fire Departments with a special donation to Rabun County Search & Rescue.

The Lake Burton Fun Run is known throughout the southeast
as one of the most scenic two-mile courses.
Limited to 800 registered runners, joggers, and walkers!
There will be prerace Jazzercise warm ups at the Start Line. Collector T-shirts, Water, Music, Awards, Prizes, and other Post Race Festivities await participants and spectators at the finish line, also a photography booth, a reflexology booth and booths with Snow Cones, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Face Painting, Crazy Hair and tossing games for the young and old.

Saturday & Sunday from 1-5 PM. We will have a registration table at the entrance to LaPrade's Marina Gift Shop
