Race Date: Saturday July, 4th @ 9am
Registration is now open for the 2026 Lake Burton Fun Run! We've worked on a few new things for registration this year:
- We upped our cap back to 1500 runners
- After 1500 runners have been registered an automated wait-list will go into play (you'll get an e-mail if you are selected and you'll have 24 hours to accept and register)
- We've opened up a new "I just want a t-shirt" option! While we don't have the design just yet, we can say that the shirt will be light blue with dogs on a pontoon boat decorated for the 4th of July. Courtney West Goodwin will be doing our artwork again this year!
We'll see you at the starting line!

Proceeds from this annual event goes to support the three Lake Burton Volunteer Fire Departments (Lakes, Wildcat, and Persimmon, Rabun County Search and Rescue and the Rabun County Sheriff's Canine Corps).
The two mile course is USA Track & Field certified, code GA12001DW .
The Lake Burton Fun Run is the sole event operated by The Lake Burton Road Runners Club - a 501(c)(3) organization - and a member of The Road Runners Club of America.
